SEC Adopts Whistleblower Rules For Reporting Securities Law Violations

As directed by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, the Securities and Exchange Commission has adopted rules providing for payments to persons reporting violations of the federal securities laws of up to 30% of the monetary sanctions collected by the SEC from violators of those laws.
